Halt
Lent at Kirk of Kildaire
HALT! In recovery circles, there is a saying: if you feel tempted, take a pause and ask yourself, “Am I Hungry? Am I Angry? Am I Lonely? Am I Tired?” We do not always make the best decisions when we are malnourished, frustrated, isolated, or exhausted. Lent, on the other hand, is a season for pausing and paying attention to what God has given us. This Lent, we invite you to join us as we HALT together on our journey through the Gospel of Matthew, asking how the grace of God is good news for the Hungry, the Angry, the Lonely, and the Tired.
Join us for worship each Sunday of Lent, February 22-March 29, at 10:30 AM in the Sanctuary.
We Know and Live God’s Love For:
Our trained Stephen Ministers walk alongside those both in our church and beyond who are grieving and hurting, offering support, prayer, and compassionate listening.
As a Matthew 25 Congregation, we strive to live Christ’s call to care for the ‘least of these,’ working to address hunger, homelessness, and poverty within our neighborhood.
Through our Guatemala Village Partners, we share in ministry with the people of Pala, Guatemala, through financial aid, educational initiatives, and mission work.
