Our spiritual education extends to even the youngest of God’s children. On Sunday mornings, young children form their ideas about the goodness and love of God as we nurture them at Kirk of Kildaire, Presbyterian in Cary, NC.

Godly Play Preschool
Godly Play is the Kirk’s Montessori-based education teaching the basic stories of the Christian faith.
Age: 3- to 4- year-olds

Time with Children
Child care is available during the worship service.
Parents are encouraged to keep their 3- and 4-year-olds with them during the worship service through the ‘Time with Children’. Parents may then take their children to the Nursery. Before entering the Sanctuary, children are encouraged to pick up an age-appropriate Worship Bag that includes Bible story books, crayons, and clipboards. Children’s bulletins are also available from the ushers.

Time: 10:30 am during Worship Service
Elementary children attend Sunday School where they use the workshop rotation model which uses hands-on activities (storytelling, art, drama, puppets, and video workshops) to help them learn and experience the Bible stories.
Age: Kindergarten through 5th Grade
Location: All students meet in the Classroom Building Room C215 to begin.
Each class then goes to its designated workshop for the day before returning to C215.
Time: 9:15 am Sunday School Hour (during the School Year)
Preparing Children for Participation in Worship (PCPW) is a very special program taught to our second and third-graders for a couple of months.

The Order of Worship
The Church Year time elements
The meaning of the Sacraments
The Lord’s Prayer
The Apostle’s Creed
The Offering, what it is is used for
This will enable the children to actively participate in worship upon completing PCPW.
Age: 2nd-3rd Grade

Time: After the Time With Children during the 10:30 am Worship Service.

Vacation Bible School is an opportunity for children to have a Bible times experience as they live out Bible stories. Each year we recreate a Bible story and explore it through storytelling, music, crafts, and games. Children ages 4 to finished 5th grade are encouraged to join this free event!
