Weddings

Congratulations, you are getting married!

Christian marriage is a joyous and celebrative event in the life of the church. A church wedding is a service of worship before God that acknowledges the need for the presence of God in your relationship. The Kirk of Kildaire, Presbyterian, welcomes the use of its facility for weddings of members who have been active for a minimum of six months prior to the wedding date. The child of an active member may also schedule a wedding. In certain circumstances, the Pastor, in consultation with the Session, may approve a wedding for non-members.

To assist in planning for the wedding ceremony and to ensure the sacredness of the service itself, contact the church office to discuss your wedding plans. The office staff will be able to guide you and get you the information you will need to get your special day on the church calendar!

Funerals & Memorial Services

Kirk Pastors are ready to meet with you to discuss your plans before death as well as minister to you in your time of bereavement at the death of a loved one. Memorial services are normally conducted by one or more of our clergy staff. The officiating minister will plan the service with you, help with additional arrangements, and give you necessary instructions.
Cremation is an option for Christians and is supported by the Session and the pastors of this church. In the case of cremation, with no casket present, the family may wish to have a picture of their loved one in the Sanctuary during the memorial service. You may choose to have the ashes scattered in the Memorial Garden or placed in the Columbarium on the church property. The service will be led by one of the pastors. We encourage you to notify the church office, as soon as possible, of your loved one’s death or impending death.
